What's inside the book "La penna nel taschino" and why this title? The publication can be defined as a small digest (from the Latin digerere "to collect"); in fact it is a heterogeneous collection of articles written for various newspapers and often reported on www.comirap.it that the author, as editor in chief of the site, has directed for about twenty years. In this miscellany there is a bit of everything, from comments on music, art, dance and theatre to notes on the Italian language, as well as notes from a tourist by chance and traits of personal remembering. Since it is also a celebratory work of the over ten thousand articles published during his history as a sui generis journalist, excerpts of themes and conferences intended for colleagues in the printed press have been reported, accompanied by reviews and interviews, in addition to pages dedicated to personalities from the world of sport, culture and entertainment. Here and there, hints of puzzles and numismatics, television and literary news emerge, without neglecting scientific curiosities and visits and escapes in the world of law. There is no lack of descriptions of events worthy of attention. The title is a tribute to her majesty the pen, queen of writing, which the author knew and appreciated as a young director of a Buffetti branch, and then made it a life companion, a peaceful weapon and reliable tool for all seasons, in every day of his professional life, in the various roles he covered, from administrator to jurist, from prefectural manager to trade unionist, from writer to journalist, even as an artist without too many rules.
